Our Story
Mission statement
DAIGO has been making notebooks, planners, and paper goods in Japan since 1944. We manufacture everything ourselves — the paper, the binding, the finished product — at our own factory in Horyuji, Nara. We believe the tools you write with shape the way you think, and we've spent eighty years trying to get them right.
What we make
We make notebooks, planners, diaries, address books, and household journals — as well as custom and OEM paper goods for businesses and brands. Everything we produce is manufactured in-house at our Nara factory, where our binding and paper processes have been refined over eight decades.
Where we make it
Our factory sits in Horyuji, Nara — a city known for housing some of the oldest wooden structures in the world. We've been here since the company was founded. The location isn't incidental: it reflects a commitment to making things carefully, in one place, by people who know the work.
